Systematic Training programs

 

Postgraduate Diploma of Spiritual Direction in the Christian Contemplative Tradition is a three-year part time training program offered by Christian Contemplative Spirituality Institute to pastoral ministers and care-givers, who desire to accompany members in the Christian communities in their practice of contemplative life in the contemporary world. 

 

The training program requires completion of 12 intensive modules, one-on-one spiritual direction, individual supervision and practicum experience.  A postgraduate diploma will be issued to students who have successfully completed the program.

 

The Postgraduate Diploma of Spiritual Direction in the Christian Contemplative Tradition fulfills all coursework requirements of the Master of Pastoral Counseling degree with a concentration in Spiritual Direction (for those holding a bachelor’s degree), or the Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Direction degree (for those holding a master’s degree) of the Graduate Theological Foundation.  Students have to apply and pay tuitions to the Foundation for the program degree. The Postgraduate Diploma of Spiritual Direction in the Christian Contemplative Tradition can also be accepted in partial fulfillment of coursework requirements for the Psy. This 3-year training program will be offered in Hong Kong, Australia, and Canada respectively.

 

 

Admission requirement

For Postgraduate Diploma of Spiritual Direction in the Christian Contemplative Tradition:

 

             BA degree or above,

             Acquired basic theological knowledge,

             Has been actively engaged in pastoral ministry,

             Submit a reference letter
